Tracey Golon, Executive Producer
Tracey directs the day-to-day strategic planning and operations of Rudy Maxa’s World with The Careys. In addition to sourcing compelling and entertaining show topics/content, leading guests, unique products and destinations to be shared by Robert, Mary and Rudy, her responsibilities include each broadcast layout, guest scheduling, remote broadcast coordination, and more. She also manages the program’s website activities and social media platforms, as well as the needs of our network radio affiliates and sponsors. Prior to joining us, Tracey owned and managed both a travel agency and trade show and social events company. She’s also created custom sponsorships for a leading trade show/conference firm, and directed the operations for Film & TV productions. A passionate and experienced traveler, Tracey’s enthusiasm for travel, the travel industry and travel media is evident to everyone she encounters.
Melissa Hunter, Travel Producer
Melissa joined our team in 2015, and has been integrally involved in strategic planning of Rudy Maxa’s World with The Careys ever since. An excellent relationship builder, she sources interesting topics/content, guests, products and destinations to be shared by Robert, Mary and Rudy. Additionally, she’s involved with scheduling, remote broadcasts, managing our network radio affiliates, as well as the program’s social media platforms and website. Previously, Melissa worked for Fortune 500 corporations in their Marketing Departments creating Consumer & Trade Promotions programs. She’s fond of experiencing off-the-beaten-path travel by finding hidden gems, and enjoys marrying her love for travel with research and relationship building.
Janet de Acevedo Macdonald, RM Ex Producer
Originally from Miami, and raised between big-city Brooklyn and rural Minnesota. Janet’s found that travel has played a big role in her life. She first worked with Rudy after he co-founded and began hosting the public radio show called “The Savvy Traveler.” She’s lived and worked in Paris, The Hague, Barcelona, and after spending 2015 on the road as a full-time RVer, she’s settled near Tucson on a farm where she balances time raising Arabian horses, and her contributions to Rudy Maxa’s World with The Careys.
Bob F. Bucci, Associate Travel Producer
Bob’s been associated with the program since its inception back in 2004, and his contributions have been plentiful. An outdoor enthusiast & family traveler, Bob’s worked at various levels of the media/communications industries. In addition to his role as VP/Operations for the program’s parent company, SSI, he’s served as News Director and morning-show producer at AM 770 WABC in New York, as New York Yankees Radio Network director, as News Anchor for AM 1490 WGCH in Greenwich CT, and as an on-air anchor/reporter for AM 1540 WPTR/FM 92.3 WFLY in Albany NY. He’s also worked as Public Relations Coordinator for the New York State Legislature.
Jeff Rider, Engineer – Technical Director
As Engineer/Technical Director, Jeff’s orchestrated nearly every broadcast of our national travel show since its debut in 2004, manning the control booth, monitoring all the meters/dials, coordinating guests/callers, running all the sponsors commercials, and presiding over the satellite feed as Rudy, Robert & Mary bring you America’s #1 Travel Radio Show. He relies on almost 30 years of hands-on experience in broadcast and online media to ensure technically-sound transmission of the broadcast to network affiliates, TuneIn, online streamers and more so you can hear Rudy Maxa’s World with the Careys loud and clear.
